Adrenaline announce coaching change

The Adelaide Adrenaline, proudly presented by Hards Transport has announced a mid-season coaching change.

After much discussion and careful consideration over the last two weeks, and on the back of a poor start to the season, the Adrenaline regret to announce that Trevor Walsh will no longer stay on as the head coach of the program.

Graham Charbonneau will act as interim player-coach for the two upcoming road games on Saturday and Sunday in Perth until a new coach is appointed prior to the Adrenaline’s next home weekend (July 2^nd and 3^rd).

Charbonneau acted in this capacity last season when Ryan O’Handley was travelling with the Australian Men’s National Ice Hockey Team and under his guidance the Adrenaline recorded a win and a loss.

The club is currently in the process of confirming the replacement head coach for the remainder of the 2016 AIHL season with an announcement to be made within the next two weeks.

This is the second major coaching change in recent AIHL history after Josh Unice took over as coach of the CBR Brave midway through last season.

The Adrenaline sit only three wins out of a finals berth and with three games in hand on the CBR Brave who currently occupy fourth, we are well within reach.

We thank Trevor for his service and express our deepest gratitude for his countless hours of tireless work during a time of great uncertainty for our hockey club.

Walsh has been involved in ice hockey in South Australia for close to 20 years and both a player and coach and we thank him for his dedication and service to the Adelaide Adrenaline Ice Hockey Club.
