Import Signing: Andrew Hamilton

Andrew Hamilton is joining the Adrenaline as a Canadian Left Winger/Center from Edmonton, Alberta. 

Measuring in at 6’4”, Andrew is a big versatile forward with a team first mentality. He is a smooth skater with high hockey IQ and a family background with rich hockey history. He has a wealth of playing experience, including the Alberta Junior Hockey League (Junior A), University hockey and Senior AAA hockey in Canada (Allen Cup Hockey West). Andrew was looking for an opportunity to play again and believes he has all the tools to be an integral part of the Adrenaline and thrive in the AIHL. He is ready to immerse himself in the Australian hockey culture. 

“Growing up in the Edmonton and surrounding area, I was able to start hockey at a very young age, where I pretty much lived and breathed it. Hockey runs deep in Canada and especially in Edmonton, where everyone has a burning passion and love for the game, particularly in our cold winters. Coming from the hometown of the Oilers has allowed me to fall in love with the game at a young age, play the game at a high level all the way up until this point and still have that burning desire to keep on playing while I can. It has allowed me to have great hockey role models, especially my father, and it’s allowed me to teach the game to others and share my experiences along the way. I am more than thrilled to come to this country and share my passion for the growing game of hockey over here in South Australia.”

“It has always been a burning desire of mine to play overseas and experience hockey at a high level over here, I am looking forward to getting the season going with this special group and am very excited to play in front of the passionate Adrenaline fan base.”

Other than hockey, what are you most excited about coming to Australia/Adelaide? 
Excited to travel Australia, meet new people and make lifelong friendships. Looking forward to the beautiful weather and every day life.
