The Adelaide Adrenaline, presented by the IceArenA, dropped both games on their two game Western Australia swing vs. the Perth Thunder.
On Saturday the Adrenaline were outpaced, conceeding 73 shots, and outscored 6-2. However, the Adrenaline had a chance to tie it up in the third.
Ryan Foll scored his first goal of the year to make it 3-2 half way through the third. Two penalties that put Adelaide down 5-on-3 proved costly as Perth eventually pulled away.
Jeremy Friederich stopped 16 saves in relief for Adelaide in his first ever AIHL appearance.
On Sunday the Adrenaline fell 5-3 thanks to a late empty net goal to Perth. Rezek and Kratoska (x2) scored for Adelaide who fought valiently in an evenly paced games.
"The guys worked really hard on Sunday. It's disappointing to lose because I thought we deserved a better result," said head coach Jim Fuyarchuk.
Adelaide now has two weeks off - one for the All-Star Game (ASG) in Adelaide and the other for a bye - before returning June 16 for a Saturday night game.
