The Adelaide Adrenaline are pleased to announce our first NEW signing for the upcoming 2025 Season… Introducing, Kyle MacPhail!
The local 34-year-old forward joins us following a recent stint in the Scottish National League (SNL), where he helped lead the Aberdeen Lynx to back-to-back League Championships in the 2022-23 season and the 2023-24 season. During his time with the Lynx, Kyle iced in almost 50 games for the Scottish side, scoring 28 goals and adding 27 assists to his points tally.
Despite playing on Scottish shores for the last 3 seasons, Kyle isn’t unfamiliar with playing ice hockey in Australia, having played in the WASL from 2012-2018, logging an impressive 139 points in just 83 games!
Following him putting pen to paper, we caught up with our latest signing earlier this week – “I am really excited to a part of the Adrenaline this year and hopefully I can help the team for the 25/26 season. Also I’m looking forward to playing in front of the Adrenaline fans, I’ve heard they are loud!”
We also spoke to GM Glen Foll about the first new addition to the 2025 roster – “Kyle has been skating with our local players for a couple months now and looks right at home with guys. Kyle also joined some of our players in the Challenge Cup Australia tournament in Newcastle. He is a strong two-way player with some offensive skill and will be a huge asset for the Adrenaline moving into 2025. In Scotland he put up some great numbers and was a key part of the leadership team as they won back-to-back titles, which was also something I was quite keen to add.”
