The Adelaide Adrenaline are delighted to announce our first signing for the 2025 season – The 2024 Rookie of the Year, #5 Daniel Koudelka!
In the 2024 season Daniel patrolled the blue-line throughout 29 games, picking up 3 points whilst keeping it extremely disciplined with just 4 PIMs on the year. In addition to represent the Blue and Red of the Adrenaline, Koudelka representing Team Australia at U20 level.
Despite it being his first season in the AIHL, the now 18-year-old Left-Handed Defenseman shone bright, earning the honours of the 2024 Rookie of the Year award both for the Adrenaline and across the whole league.
Bringing Koudelka back was high on the list of priorities for GM Glen Foll, who had this to stay on the hot young talent – “Daniel was a huge part of our top 4 last season, he stepped into the role better than any of us could have imagined and I was really impressed. Bringing him back was a no-brainer and I’m excited to watch him grow even more this year.’
We also spoke to Daniel about his decision to remain with the Adrenaline for the upcoming 2025 season – “I can't wait to get back on the ice with the Adrenaline this season, I learnt a lot in my first season and I'm looking forward to building off my rookie year”
