|Local Signing: Jeremy Friederich
Jeremy Friederich has signed with the Adelaide Adrenaline for the 2023 AIHL season.
The 21 year old net minder has become a mainstay in South Australian ice hockey, having represented the state at every junior level from U13 to the AJIHL. He has also been selected for three international outings across the Australian U18 and U20 teams, winning a silver and bronze medal and being credited with the best goals against average at the 2022 U20 World Juniors (D3).
Known for his calm and humble demeanour on the ice, Jeremy’s consistency in the crease can keep teams in games, or backstop great outings without issue.
In his time at the senior level Jeremy has seen great success. He has won championships with the Adelaide Xtreme of the NHSL and the Adelaide Avalanche of the PHL, being awarded with the playoff MVP award for both competitions, highlighting his ability to turn up in big moments.
Jeremy also volunteers much of his time to local hockey, holding the position of Head of Goaltender Development with IHSA. Most South Australian’s in the hockey community would have seen him at the rink running development programs for junior and senior goaltenders.
Here’s what Jeremy had to say,
“I’m really excited to be back in the crease for Adelaide, they gave me a great opportunity to develop when I first got into the league and I’m really excited to continue to grow with the club.”
