Jared Siemens has signed with the Adelaide Adrenaline for the 2023 AIHL season. Hailing from Alberta, the Australian resident has lived in Adelaide since 2018, playing locally with the Adelaide Blackhawks and Adelaide Xtreme, and won a national championship last year with Adelaide in the PHL. He is a versatile player who is comfortable in forward or defence, happy to go where the team needs him. Here’s how he describes himself. “I’d say I’m an all rounder, I’ll do whatever role I need to for the team.” “[in defence] if I get the chance, I’ll try to chip in offensively but my goal is sound defence and using my speed and physicality to disrupt flow.” “As a forward, I want to be as disruptive at all ends of the ice. Hard forecheck, pressure the defence low and hard back-check to help out on our own zone.” Coach’s Eric Lien and Stu Henly have experience with Siemens as an assistant captain for the Adelaide Xtreme.
