Welcome to Adelaide – Darcy WalshThe Adelaide Adrenaline have today announced the signing of import Darcy Walsh for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Born in Ontario Canada, the 5’11” centre will arrive in Adelaide this week to join the team with three weeks remaining until the season opener against the Perth Thunder on the road. Darcy has a hockey resume which includes Division 1 College at Robert Morris University and three seasons with the Ottawa Jr. Senators in the Central Canada Hockey League. Known for his strong leadership, Darcy was involved in two championships with the Ottawa Jr. Senators in both 2018 and 2019 and was named captain of the team in 2019. Darcy has most recently played for the North Dundas Rockets in the Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League. Adrenaline General Manager Glen Foll is excited to have Darcy joining the squad. “Darcy has a proven winning track record with leadership qualities. He’s a two-way player with plenty of offensive ability and he is not afraid to get into the dirty areas if need be.” Adrenaline fans will get their first chance to see Darcy on home ice April 22 against the Sydney Bears.
