After a successful opening weekend, the Adelaide Adrenaline are bringing ice hockey to 'Life' across the city of Adelaide.
The Adelaide Adrenaline, proudly presented by Hards Transport, are pleased to announce radio station 1079 Life as their official media partner for the 2017 AIHL season.
The deal includes the live broadcast of at least one Adrenaline game this season. The first live radio broadcast will occur on Saturday 6 May when Adelaide play the visiting Sydney Ice Dogs.
You can join president Eric Balnar, LifeFM host Scotty Curtis and Adrenaline player Jamie Holland on the call.
Further, fans across Adelaide will hear regular interviews with Adrenaline players, staff and volunteers throughout the season live on the FM dial. Interstate and overseas fans will be able to tune in at www.1079life.com.
The coverage begins Monday evening when new Adrenaline captain David Huxley joins Scotty on the Drive Show for a 'Captain's Corner' where he will break down this weekend's massive 4-3 win over Newcastle.
1079 Life listeners will also benefit with regular content and promotions throughout the season.
Adrenaline president Eric Balnar says this is a great step in growing Ice Hockey in Adelaide.
"The team at 1079 Life have been some of the biggest supporters of the Adrenaline the last two seasons. I am ecstatic they are taking their support one step further," he says.
"In Canada I became a hockey fan by listening to live radio calls. It's a powerful medium and we have a great chance to draw in new, unsuspecting fans and make them fall in love with our favourite game," he adds.
The station's motto is "Radio for Life" and they play an integral role in the Adelaide community where in 2014 they were awarded the South Australian Community Broadcasting Association Award for Community Engagement
As well as playing Adult Contemporary and Christian Music, 1079 life provides great coverage of news, sport, music and talk programs across Adelaide 24 / 7.
