The Adelaide Adrenaline, proudly presented by Hards Transport, have announced today that head coach Ryan O'Handley has stepped down to move to a role in the front office. O'Handley, who has been on the Adrenaline coaching staff since 2010 and head coach for the past four seasons, will still be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the team. Ryan has immediately been appointed as Vice President and Director of Hockey Operations. O'Handley says he is looking forward to a transition in his hockey operations career. "Coaching this group of players has been a great experience, but with my two boys now heavily involved in the sport, the time is right for me to step aside from the head coaching role. I’m really excited to still be able to contribute to the club in my new role and I am looking forward to continuing to work with the players and the new coaching staff to bring a Goodall Cup to Adelaide"
With O'Handley secured in the front office, the Adrenaline are opening up the search for a new head coach of the club. Applications are now open and are due by Sunday, December 13. The requirements are as follows: - strong knowledge of the game - playing or coaching experience in the AIHL or equivalent level - minimum level 1 IHA coaching accreditation or IIHF equivalent - must be based in Adelaide Please apply to Eric at ericbalnar@gmail.com. Applicants will be passed on to the current Adrenaline executive and selective committee. |
