Volunteer position: Merchandise Manager

The Adelaide Adrenaline Ice Hockey Club (‘the Club’) is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Merchandise Manager. The Club requires someone to volunteer their time to oversee its merchandise requirements at the direction of the committee.

This position is not a committee position but will be accountable to the committee. The successful applicant will be required to start in November 2018 and will be expected to commit to the role until at least September 2019. Objective: To enhance brand awareness of the Club across South Australia and improve the financial position of the Club through merchandise sales.

Key qualifications and attributes
? Attention to detail and a commitment to responsible stock control;
? An ability to keep accurate records of orders and sales and manage an online sales facility;
? A proven ability to meet deadlines and both work under direction and use initiative;
? A commitment to working with the committee, fans and suppliers to deliver quality merchandise options in a timely manner for the 2019 AIHL season;
? An ability to manage volunteers to assist in the running of a merchandise stall on game days.

Tasks
The Merchandise Manager will be required to:
? Source and oversee purchase of Club merchandise, including forming and fostering relationships with suppliers;
? Liaise with the committee, suppliers and relevant other stakeholders (e.g. fans and sponsors) regarding merchandise design, price and availability;
? Communicate effectively with the committee and customers around the supply and delivery of merchandise;
? Coordinate the operation of a merchandise stall at the Ice Arena which is open from 90 minutes before puck drop until 30 minutes after game finish at every Adrenaline home game of the 2019 AIHL season, including by appropriately training, briefing, scheduling and supervising adequate volunteers;
? Coordinate a merchandise stall at Adrenaline fundraising events during the 2019
season and pre-season period, as directed by the committee;
? Take responsibility for the secure receipt, storage and delivery of merchandise items throughout the 2019 season
